Getting in at least the minimum recommendations for moderate aerobic activity may keep your heart happy, but Dr. Robert Schreiber, physician-in-chief at Hebrew SeniorLife and an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School says, "Just doing aerobic exercise is not adequate." He also adds that "Unless you are doing strength training, you will become weaker and less functional."
We now understand the importance of strength training more than ever! It’s not just for competitive athletes and women everywhere can now participate knowing it's not going to make them too "bulky".
It’s now understood that it just might be the modern day Fountain of Youth for all ages and all fitness levels!
